With MijnOLVG you can view and manage your personal data. You can, for example, see your planned appointments, view test results and ask short questions.
Are you staying at or visiting OLVG's East location? We would like to familiarise you with our hospital. On this page you will find lots of practical information that may be useful during your stay or visit.
Pharmacy Visitors to outpatient clinics and patients who go home after a (day) admission to the hospital. Visitors and local residents are also welcome to pick up their medicines or medical aids at our outpatient pharmacy. Opening hours: Mon to Fri 08:00 - 21:00, Sat and public holidays: 10:00 - 20:00, Sun: 12:00 - 20:00. |
Evening surgery hours Most outpatient clinics at OLVG's East location are open every Tuesday until 20:00. You can also have an X-ray or blood sample taken. |
Baby changing facilities There is a room where babies can be changed at the toilets near the main entrance. |
Security OLVG has its own security service. Contact them on telephone number +31 (0)20 599 32 31 if you lose anything, have found something or you want to report a theft or destruction. |
Letterbox There is a letterbox opposite the restaurant on the Lichtstraat for postal delivery inside and outside the hospital (the 'Lichtstraat' is a corridor with a sunroof located within the hospital). |
Espresso Bar There is an espresso bar at the main entrance. Here you can buy coffee, tea, soft drinks and sweets. Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 16:00 (Tuesdays until 19:30). Closed on public holidays. |
Prayer room for Muslims You can find a prayer room for Muslims, the masjid, on the Lichtstraat. This is freely accessible. |
Chapel You will find the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Chapel on a side corridor of the Lichtstraat. You are welcome visit during the day and in the evening for a moment of silence, to pray or to light a candle. Every Sunday you can attend a church service at 10:00. |
Hairdressing salon You will find the hairdressers on the Lichtstraat. Opening hours: Tue to Fri from 10:00 to 17:30. The salon can be reached on +31 (0)20 599 38 30 and at kapsalon@olvg.nl |
Church services There is an ecumenical church service every Sunday at 10:00 at the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Chapel. Everyone is welcome. |
Lockers Do you have any personal belongings that you want to store temporarily? There are lockers near the main entrance, next to the toilets. Their usage is free of charge. |
Coffee and tea On weekday mornings, our volunteers give out free coffee, tea or lemonade at the outpatient clinics. Outside these times, you can go to the vending machines at the Emergency Department and at various outpatient clinics where you can buy coffee or tea. Of course you can also go to the restaurant in the central hall for coffee and tea. |
Mobile telephones The use of mobile devices is permitted throughout OLVG, unless the user is in an area where a sign prohibiting usage indicates that this is not allowed. |
OLVG Information and Entertainment System (telephone, television, radio and internet) During your stay at our hospital you can watch television, use the internet and listen to the radio free of charge. You will only pay for telephone calls. |
Public transport OLVG's East location is easily accessible by public transport. You can top-up your OV chip card in the central hall opposite the reception. |
Parking There are limited parking options around OLVG's East location. Please note that finding a parking space can take some time. If you have found a parking space, don't forget to pay the parking meter. You can also park in the car park under OLVG's East location: the Oosterparking. Read more |
Disabled parking There are 6 disabled parking places at OLVG's East location car park. A free exit ticket for handicapped and disabled people is available at the reception upon presentation of a disabled parking badge. |
The Patient Council The Patient Council advises OLVG's board on matters of interest to patients such as services, accessibility and treatment, but also on organisational and financial matters. The aim is to improve the quality and safety of medical care, nursing care and services. |
The Lichtpunt Restaurant You can find the Lichtpunt restaurant near the lifts on the Lichtstraat. You are welcome to visit the restaurant for a drink, a sandwich, a hot snack or a modest meal. Opening hours: Mon to Fri 08:00 - 20:00 and from 13:00 - 20:00 on weekends. |
Wheelchairs People with reduced mobility can use wheelchairs. The wheelchairs can be found opposite the reception in the central hall. |
Language point Do you need help filling in a form or reading a brochure? Our language point volunteers will be happy to help you. |
Taxi Do you want a taxi for the return trip? Our reception or security staff will call you one. |
Toilets

Interpreting It is important that you understand what is being said to you and that employees know what you want to say. Do you have trouble with the Dutch language? Then we recommend that you take someone with you (not a child) to interpret. This is only possible if the person has a good command of Dutch and you feel familiar enough with this person to discuss personal matters. You can also use a telephone interpreter. Your healthcare provider can request an interpreter for you. |
Volunteers Many volunteers work at OLVG. They help patients in wheelchairs, for example, and point patients and visitors in the direction of the outpatient clinics and nursing departments. They also take care of the flowers found in different departments. |

Shop You can buy newspapers, magazines, flowers, gifts and refreshments at the shop at the end of the Lichtstraat. Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 20:00 and from 13:00 to 20:00 on weekends. |
